Quality Inspector

Title: Quality Inspector
Reports To: Quality Manager
Location: Berlin, CT
Hours: 7:00am-5:30pm

Position Overview

Inspect parts at various stages of production. Approve and release parts for shipment. Complete Customer and regulatory required documentation.

General Responsibilities

  1. Final inspection of product.
  2. Control of records.
  3. Control of finished product inventory
  4. Preparation of shipping documents, certifications, and inspection reports.
  5. Receiving inspection of outside processed parts.
  6. Control of nonconforming product.
  7. Participate in corrective/preventive action activities.
  8. Prepare and approve final inspection reports.
  9. Prepare and approve FAIRs.
  10. Disposition & Disposal of scrap including (documented on traveler).
  11. Communicating customer and quality flow downs.
  12. Perform additional related responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

  1. Education: 5+ years in physical inspection of machined parts.
  2. Must have proficient GD&T skills.
  3. DQR for any UTC company is a plus.
  4. Aerospace manufacturing experience is a plus.
  5. Must have a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
  6. Read and interpret instructions (English).
  7. Strong desire for continued growth and learning.
